Title:

Eisenhower Dollar

Description:
United States Eisenhower (”Ike”) one-dollar coin dated 1972. Obverse shows a left-facing bust of President Dwight D. Eisenhower with legends ”LIBERTY” around the rim, ”IN GOD WE TRUST” at left, and the date ”1972” at bottom. Reverse shows an eagle landing on the moon holding an olive branch, with a small Earth above; legends ”UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” around rim, ”E PLURIBUS UNUM” above the eagle, and denomination ”ONE DOLLAR” at bottom. Coin appears copper-nickel clad (circulation strike) rather than 40% silver (no packaging shown; edge color not clearly visible from photos). Likely Philadelphia (no mint mark visible on obverse in provided photo), but mint mark cannot be confirmed from these images. Common 1972 issue; there are known reverse varieties (Type 1/2/3) based on Earth details, not determinable with certainty from this photo alone.
