Title:
Batman
Synopsis:
Batman #611, titled ”Welcome to the Jungle!”, is an issue in the acclaimed ”Hush” storyline. On the cover, Batman looms over a cityscape with his cape spread wide in the shape of a bat-symbol, while Catwoman is bound and suspended in a web of thorny green vines controlled by Poison Ivy, with the Daily Planet building visible below, hinting at Metropolis. Inside, Batman investigates a daring theft and discovers that Poison Ivy has taken mental control of Catwoman, forcing her to carry out high-profile robberies. Batman must track them from Gotham to Metropolis, confronting Ivy’s plant-based attacks and struggling with his conflicted feelings for Catwoman, who is both victim and foe. The story continues the larger mystery of the unseen manipulator known as Hush, who is orchestrating attacks through Batman’s rogues gallery. Written by Jeph Loeb, with art by Jim Lee and Scott Williams and colors by Alex Sinclair, the issue blends high-impact superhero action with noir-style investigation and emotional tension between its central characters.
