“Fragments”
As the elevated Goddess of Truth on Mount Olympus, Diana recounts a hidden chapter from her childhood on Themyscira: lonely at age twelve, she persuaded the sorceress Amazon Magala to weave a spell animating her mirror reflection into a perfect doppelganger playmate, complete with shared memories and unknowingly a fragment of soul. The twin girls shared secret adventures for months until Dark Angel, intending to kidnap Diana for torment, seized the doppelganger instead, later rescuing and adopting her as Donna Troy across multiple doomed lives. In the present, Hippolyta (operating as Wonder Woman), Jay Garrick, Joan Garrick, and Wally West converge on Themyscira where Magala unveils the truth amid rising threats from Dark Angel targeting Donna as perceived daughter of Hippolyta. Meanwhile in Hell, Donna faces forced reincarnation by Dark Angel as allies including Artemis, Cassie and Helena Sandsmark, Mike Schorr, Harold Campion, and a future-aged mad Merlin battle Morgaine le Fey’s forces and a spellbound Etrigan. Chaos erupts with demonic clashes, hellfire swords, and sacrifices: Merlin perishes pushing his older self into flames, Artemis seemingly slays Morgaine, Etrigan reunites with Jason Blood, while Donna exploits her link to destroy Dark Angel forever, though the victory costs Donna her consciousness, leaving her body empty as heroes mourn the bittersweet resolution.
