Synopsis for ”Amazons Attacked, Part Four”
Temple of the New Gods, The Amazon Jungle
Enraged because of the death of her step-brothers and sisters, and of her father, Diana tries to face the might of Darkseid alone while Jason and Grail fight each other as well. Trying with all her power, Darkseid proves himself too strong for Wonder Woman to handle and the stalemate between the two twins and the dark god with his daughter ends up being the perfect way for the Furies to retrieve all the missing relics from the Oddfellows, giving Darkseid the means to open a portal to Themyscira. This portal still rejects Diana, as it’s made by a mechanism of both gods Old and New and so the curse still functions towards Wonder Woman. But there’s another Amazon there with them: Grail. She is half New God, half Amazon and she never set foot on Themyscira, so she has no curse upon her. Entering the island of the Amazons, she strikes them with the Omega Beams, producing an horrifying effect: the Amazons are turned to a new kind of stronger Parademon, ready to be the new army of Darkseid.
