Title:

Green Lantern

Synopsis:
Synopsis for ”Evil Star’s Death-Duel Summons”
When Hal Jordan tries to charge his power ring one day, he is shocked to find that his power battery is not working. Suddenly, Evil Star attacks the Ferris Aircraft company, but the power battery regains it’s power source long enough for Hal to recharge his power ring and fight Evil Star. This turns out to be a false image of the foe, who is really still on Oa and challenges the Green Lantern to fight him there.

Traveling to Oa, Hal finds that Evil Star has escaped his prison and has once more immobilized the Guardians of the Universe. Arriving on the planet, Evil Star once again removes Hal’s power ring and destroys it, however anticipating this move Hal had recreated his original power ring which was destroyed in his first battle with Evil Star and uses it to defeat the villain, restoring order to Oa and turning him over to the Guardians. Returning to Earth, Hal explains to Pieface how he managed to defeat Evil Star this time.

Synopsis for ”Saga of the Millionaire Schemer!”
Inviting the Jordan brothers over for dinner, their wealthy uncle Titus Jordan orchestrates a plan to prove that his nephew Jim is really the Green Lantern. Titus’s plan is for Hal to dress as a fictional super-villain in order to trick Jim Jordan into revealing himself as Green Lantern. However Hal, who is the real Green Lantern, recognizes the name and uniform as those used by a villain he already clashed with a short time before. Figuring out that more is going on than his uncle realizes, Hal goes along with the plan to smoke out the real Bottler.

When the real criminal Bottler attacks, Jim is knocked on the head and put in a room to recuperate, while Hal changes into the Green Lantern and defeats the criminal who is unmasked and revealed to be Uncle Titus’ butler Williams. Afterwards, both Sue and Uncle Titus are still not unconvinced that Jim is really the Green Lantern.
