With Lex Luthor edging closer to death as his cloned body fails him, Cadmus escorts Superman to a space platform where he hopes to draw off the Man of Steel’s excess energy, which has expanded the hero to massive proportions. The experiment results in the destruction of the space station, which plummets to Earth with Superman. Meanwhile, at Franklin Stern’s insistence, Perry White fires Lois Lane for the bogus article published under her name.
