Title:
Ghost Rider (Vol 2 | 1973)
Synopsis:
"YOU’VE GOT A SECOND CHANCE JOHNNY BLAZE!’, Guest-starring Stunt Master and from the pages of Daredevil, Karen Page. Johnny Blaze accepts a job on a television show, but when the Trapster kidnaps Karen Page, Ghost Rider is needed once more.
As Phantom Eagle flies away, Ghost Rider spontaneously changes into Johnny. At first confused, Johnny reasons that his recent selfless acts have "freed” him from Satan’s curse. Needing money, Johnny rides to Los Angeles where he accepts Stunt-Master’s job offer. Stunt-Master introduces him to Karen Page, Coot Collier and Katy Milner, and hires Johnny as a stunt-double for his television show. Later. Karen is abducted by Trapster, who claims she’s worth a million dollars. Trapster flies away on a giant disk with Karen, but beneath them, Johnny spontaneously changes into Ghost Rider and gives chase. When Ghost Rider disables the giant disk with his flame, Trapster immobilizes Karen with his paste gun, and uses a menagerie of weapons against Ghost Rider. Ghost Rider defeats Trapster by blasting the villain’s anti-gravity disk, sending him careening uncontrollably down the street. Changing back to Johnny, Blaze realizes that the transformation is triggered by the presence of danger. Grateful, Karen kisses Johnny.
NOTE: Captain Marvel stars in a one-page Hostess ad, "The Big Bang!” Plus, a letter to the editor from comics historian Peter Sanderson
