Title:

Ghost Rider

Synopsis:
"RESURRECTION!”
Guest-Starring Daimon Hellstrom (Son of Satan) and Stunt Master. Can it be true?! Ghost Rider defeated and Johnny Blaze’s soul forfeit? Plus, why has Stunt master betrayed Karen Page? The plot thickens in another macabre chapter of Ghost Rider! Story continues in Daredevil (1964-1998 1st Series) #138.

Gloating over an apparently defeated Johnny Blaze, the Challenger reveals himself to be an arch-demon servant of Satan, claiming that Satan has owned Blaze’s soul all along and that all of Johnny’s struggles have been futile. Blaze almost surrenders his soul, but instead turns into Ghost Rider and fights back. Blaze races through a volcanic obstacle course created by his foe, then battles the Challenger again, gradually realizing that much of Challenger’s power is illusory and depends largely on Johnny’s belief in it. No longer scared, Ghost Rider defeats Challenger, who vanishes in a puff of smoke. Johnny returns to the hospital where he is overjoyed to learn that the recovered Katy Milner was actually Roxanne Simpson all along, mystically trapped in the Milner identity by the demon Inferno. Karen Page, upset by this reunion, runs back to the studio in tears, where Stunt-Master knocks her out and delivers her to Death’s Head, who’s been searching for Page.
