” Blood And Judgement”
It’s Ghost Rider vs. Vengeance and only one Spirit of Vengeance is walking away alive!
Despite a thirteen-story fall, Ghost Rider and Vengeance pick themselves up and continue their fight, ignoring the gathering cops who open fre on them. Leaving Gerard Dolan to care for the still-stunned Stacy, Blaze rappels down to them, but after he departs, Helligate and his minions emerge from the ballroom. Rak overpowers Gerard with casual ease, and, on Hellgate’s orders, takes Stacy down the parking garage intending to add her to their growing collection of captive police. On the casino floor Ghost Rider uses his penance stare on Vengeance again, but this enrages Vengeance as much as thurts him. In the parking garage, Stacy wakes and stabs Rak with her knife to get him to release her, then commandeers a car and rams him to knock him out. Before she can return to the casino, she hears knocking coming from Hellgate’s limo’s trunk. Meanwhile, Vengeance uses his penance stare on Ghost Rider, drawing up a vision of a buried, forgotten guilt, a burning woman. Blaze blasts Vengeance, forcing his transformation back to Michael Badiling, Blaze wants to kill him, but Ghost Rider insists neither of them is fit to judge him. Stacy, Alec and Ski arrive from the parking garage, and Blaze tries to convince them to execute Michael, a view Michael surprisingly supports, viewing himself beyond help. A surprise attack by Hellgate and his minions ends the debate. and battle commences. Michael considers escaping in the confusion, but decides instead to make his final judgment, transforming back into Vengeance and grabbing Hellgate. Ordering everyone else to evacuate, Vengeance judges himself, then explodes, taking Hellgate with him. The others narrowly make it out as the building begins to burn, but Stacy suddenly recalls her father is still inside. Ghost Rider races in and rescues him. As Ghost Rider departs taking Gerard Dolan to the hospital, Blaze is surprised by the Spirit’s nobility, but still resolves to destroy him before he becomes a monster. Later, surprised to find himself alive, Snowblind emerges from the hotel’s ruins, to see Blackheart waiting. The Hell-lord cryptically offers Snowblind his heart’s desire before disappearing. Snowblind smiles, assured things are about to go his way.
