Title:
Ghost Rider
Synopsis:
"Beware the Steel Wind!”
A duel of stunts as Johnny Blaze fights for his job against the dangerous stunt woman - Steel Wind. Meanwhile, Freakmaster plots from the shadows... NOTE: 1st appearance of Steel Wind.
Steel Wind impresses the Quentin Carnival by riding a series of high-risk maneuvers. Their awe becomes outrageous when Ralph Quentin tells Johnny Blaze that Steel Wind is replacing him. Meanwhile, a woman boards a bus in search of Johnny. Quentin is convinced to arrange a race between Johnny and Steel Wind to determine who will stay. Blaze manages to keep pace with Steel Wind but the Spirit of Vengeance’s constant cries for freedom distract him, causing Johnny to lose. Quentin orders both Blaze and Cynthia Randolph to leave. Later, Vincenzo accidentally discovers that Steel Wind is a cyborg; she attacks him. Over the following days, Steel Wind exerts a dictatorial rule over the carnival. Cynthia informs Johnny of Steel Wind’s history of driving carnivals into ruin. The Quentin Carnival revolts against Quentin and Steel Wind. Steel Wind suggests that she killed Vincenzo and attacks Blaze. He fights back as Ghost Rider and defeats her; Steel Wind is left catatonic by the demon’s hellfire. Elsewhere, displeased at Steel Wind’s failure, the Freakmaster decides to concentrate his attention on Johnny.
