Mike Badino arrives at the Grand Aventura hotel, Atlantic City, where Hellgate and his retinue are attending a mobster convention, Ski and Alec are undercover as waiters, but at the opening ceremony they are outed the crowd and captured. Rak takes them away for Heligate’s amusement Hellgate offers his services to the gathered mobsters to create custom indestructible soldiers to suit their every need in return for a percentage of their take though Snowblind quietly suspects he will ultimately want more than their cash. Meanwhile, Dan, Blaze and the Dolans arrive. Stacy makes her way to the Golden Ballroom on the 13th floor, but before she can get past the bodyguards outside Mike arrives and transforms into Vengeance. Seeing the explosion he causes, Dan changes into Ghost Rider and rides to her rescue. Ghost Rider attacks Vengeance while Blaze and Gerard Dolan race up the stars Some of the mobsters shoot at the two Spirits of Vengeance, but Hellgate orders his operatives to wait, wanting to let the intruders thin out the pack before intervening. As Blaze and Gerard reach the 13th floor, Ghost Rider turns his penance stare on Vengeance, who scoffs at the idea it might affect him, then screams in agony as it does. Silently apologizing to Dan, Blaze shoots both Spirits with Stacy’s disruptor cannon, sending them through a hole in the wall Vengeance’s explosion created, and plummeting to the ground below.
