Title:
Uncanny X-Men
Synopsis:
Glory Day
At the Red Rocks Amphitheatre, William Connover’s wife, Hannah, wishes her husband luck before he goes onstage. As soon as he leaves, the paramedic Josey Thomas approaches Hannah and offers her a miracle cure for her arthritis.
Elsewhere, the X-Men slay three more Brood mutants before the taking the fight to the amphitheatre. The audience panics at the site of the battered Wolverine, but Reverend Connover helps him fight his transformation into Brood. The X-Men then kill the rest of the Brood, except for Harry Palmer, who takes Hannah Connover as a hostage. Wolverine sneaks up from behind and kills Harry, putting an end to the Brood’s reign of terror in Denver. The X-Men disappear after the battle, but Reverend Connover makes a point of telling the news reporters that the mutants were the good guys and that mankind needs to be kinder to mutants, as they are humanity’s children. Nearby, Josey Thomas smiles sinisterly.
Meanwhile, in Australia, Madelyne Pryor meets the demon S’ym in a vision, and inadvertently decides to take control of her life by turning down an evil path.
