the X-Men face off against Stryfe and his Dark Riders. Cyclops and Jean Grey are trying to escape from Stryfe’s clutches. They’ve been captured by the Dark Riders, but it turns out that Jean is pretending to be unconscious and is secretly holding back Cyclops’ optic blast. When the Dark Riders get close enough, Cyclops unleashes his blast on them12.
Meanwhile, at the X-Mansion, Apocalypse is detained, and Archangel vouches for him. Moira informs Beast that she broke Stryfe’s code in the T-O virus, but it only repeats the message “You are smart, but I am smarter” over and over. Apocalypse suggests that he can save Xavier, and Storm agrees to let him try3.
