Title:
Grimm Fairy Tales
Synopsis:
Synopsis for ”Bluebeard”
Debbie has some suspicions about her husband, Tom. It seems an investigator had some photos of him visiting Naomi Tillman. As he comes home that evening, Debbie questions him, and how they first met in their marriage. He states he needs to go out of town. She is convinced he is having an affair. The next day, she sees Sela and tells her her problems. Sela gives her a book to read about Bluebeard saying it will help. Later, she reads the story which is about a baron who is unknown, except that he has a blue beard. He seems to be extremely wealthy and refurbished his castle. He asked a young maiden, Dasha, to be his wife. Mostly, he asked her to trust and obey him implicitly. She acknowledge this and they exchange vowes and were married.
Grimm Fairy Tales Vol 1 11-B
He leaves on a journey, and leaves her the keys to the castle, and says there is but one key that she is not allowed to use. Otherwise, she has free range of all the rooms and all the castle. In the rainy weather, she is confined to the castle, and curiosity gets the best of her, and eventually she looks into the forbidden room. In the forbidden room, she sees corpses and dismembered, bloody bodies, a dungeon and horror of torture. He returns and knows that she has disobeyed him by using the key to go onto the one forbidden room. He begins to take her down to the room to show her, but she had a knife, and was convinced that he was going to kill her like other wives or women that he had before. She stabbed him, and as he seems to be dying, the last pages of the book shows they were just busts or statue heads, essentially a museum, and nothing macabre. It was the last few pages that Debbie didn’t read.
Back to Debbie’s situation, her husband, Tom arrived home with a truck and a boat, and he says he has a surprise for her. He takes her out into the countryside, and apparently they’re going to get in the lake in a boat. Debbie references that he is going to Scott Peterson her. He takes her into a darkened warehouse and says not to ask any more questions, or she will ruin the surprise. About that time the lights turn on, he is stabbed, an apparently fatal blow by Debbie. As the lights are on, it is indeed a surprise party, and everyone stands aghast at Debbie’s deed. Her loving husband, wanting to surprise her with a surprise party and all her friends. Sela is there and wonders why she didn’t finish the book she gave her to read.✍️⌨️
