Synopsis:
The acclaimed GHOST RIDER run of writer Jason Aaron reaches its fever-pitched conclusion with six more issues of insanity, all jam-packed with new villains, old allies and the same old grindhouse action that Flamehead fans have come to know and love. The renegade angel Zadkiel is out to thwart Biblical prophecy by assassinating a young boy bred by Satanists to rule the world, so if Ghost Riders Johnny Blaze and Danny Ketch are going to save the world, they’ll first have to save the Anti-Christ. Guest-starring Hellstorm, the Son of Satan.
FLASHBACK: A Satanic priest who watched angels slaughter his coven and all but one of the children com from a scheme to breed an Antichrist begs Hellstorm for aid in finding the surviving child. Hellstorm agrees, but only so that he can kill the child himself (p).
Johnny Blaze enters a New Age gift shop and demands answers from the employees, one of whom shoots him with a shotgun loaded with healing crystals. Caretaker arrives to aid Johnny, and the employees reveal themselves as Zadkiel’s disciples and attack. Johnny, as Ghost Rider, and Sara defeat them and learn from them that Zadkiel is hunting Kid Blackheart. Johnny and Sara travel across the country in search of Kid Blackheart, hoping that finding him will lead them to Zadkiel, and track him to New York’s Financial District, Kid Blackheart, now a high-powered investment banker calling himself Anton Satan, is attacked by Zadkiel’s minions, but is saved by Jaine Cutter, who has come to save him to preserve the supernatural balance. They attempt escape, but Jaine is rendered unconscious by a blast of heavenly energies, leaving Anton surrounded by Zadkiel’s followers. Meanwhile, Blackout and the Deacon break the Orb out of a prison hospital.
