Synopsis:
Approximately thirteen hours after Skrull warships first appeared over Manhattan, Jonathan Bryant spoke to Ben Urich, who was recording himself from the twenty-third floor of Stark Tower. Earlier, Jonathan Bryant walked in on his wife having sex with another man before he left in his taxi. On the street, a Skrull that was fighting Spider-Man crashed on the hood of his taxi before the web-slinger took off.
Two hours and forty three minutes before the invasion began, Ben Urich visited Empire State University’s emergency room and recorded his conversation with Doctor Molly Young, as a man wearing gang colors shot in the abdomen was rushed in. Molly allowed Urich to learn about how E.R. was dealing with gang violence, so that he could tell Front Line’s readers.
Roughly thirty minutes before the invasion, locals watched the Avengers fly out of their tower in their Quinjet. Melanie Crane walked inside to visit her father and confronted him in the middle of a meeting about him and her mother getting a divorce and not consulting her. Her father instructed her to have a seat in his office. At Empire State Taxi Co., Jonathan Bryant argued with Porter about money coming out of his paycheck due to Spider-Man crashing onto his taxi. Two minutes before the invasion, Molly told Urich that she used to wish that she was a mutant who could heal people.
Melanie and her father from his office, the angry Jonathan from his taxi, and Urich and Molly from the hospital saw Skrull ships in the sky before they opened fire. As Melanie and her father were still inside, the building went into lockdown and Vincent saw that there was an alien virus detected on one of their computers. Jonathan drove away from the Skrull invaders in his taxi while Urich and Molly barricaded themselves inside of the hosptial before the power went out. Urich realized that he forgot to tell his wife that he loved her, as Molly watched over a Skrull disguised as an injured man.
