Title:
52
Synopsis:
Synopsis for "Sand and Rust"
Day 6:
Renée Montoya and the Question arrive in Kahndaq after a long series of connecting flights. They find a country in the midst of celebration, as Black Adam has declared a period of feasting in honor of Isis.
In Metropolis, Kala Avasti goes to the Steelworks hoping to find John Henry Irons, whom no one has seen for a month. He lets her in, and we see that his entire body is now steel (his origin in Week 15 indicates, however, that he is able to return to his normal skin). John Henry shows Kala a suit of armor that he has built for his niece, Natasha. He has been driven to do so by feelings of guilt over losing Natasha to Lex Luthor’s Everyman Project.
Two government agents visit Doc Magnus, hoping he might let them study the Metal Men as a basis for new weapons. Magnus refuses, and is more distracted by the fact that he cannot get the Metal Men to work. He leaves to visit T.O. Morrow in Haven, only to find that the professor has disappeared, leaving only a note addressed to Magnus and written in machine code.
Day 7:
The Question receives a tip that Intergang might have an operation in Shiruta’s temple district, so he and Montoya head there to investigate. They arrive to find a room littered with dead bodies, and are promptly surrounded by Kahndaqi authorities.
Back at his lab, Magnus is able to bring Mercury back online, apparently using Morrow’s code.
