Synopsis for ”Old Friends”
Power Girl has just battled the JLI, having been conditioned into believing they were Superman, Supergirl and the JLA gone bad. The JLI has successfully broken her mind-control and accept her apologies, but they send her away anyway.
Power Girl now remembers Maxwell Lord and heads towards the Batcave to try and get Dick Grayson remember him. However, every time she is getting through Dick, Lord’s mental blocks make him forget the whole conversation. When she sees Dick still believes Ted Kord killed himself, she decides to force him to face the truth, and heads out.
Meanwhile, all Starrware Industries’ assets and equipment have been seized and bought by Ophelia Day, C.E.O. or rival firm Day Work Industries.
In the meantime, Kara remembers Ted Kord. She never took him seriously, even though he was a real hero. He was the first to discover hints from the O.M.A.C. Project but she didn’t listen to him. And he got murdered.
Kara unearths Ted’s coffin and demands Dick examines the corpse and determines the cause of death. Dick doesn’t want to, but Bruce Wayne turns up. He remembers Max Lord, and upon examining the gunshot wound forces Dick to get past his mind-block.
As Dick Grayson gets to contact their fellow heroes, Power Girl and Batman are going to join up the JLI and stop Max Lord.
