Title:

#210

Synopsis:
Iron Man #210 finds Tony Stark in the midst of rebuilding his life and fortunes when an old enemy strikes from the shadows. The mercenary saboteur Spymaster launches a new assault on Stark International’s technology, seeking to profit from stolen weapons secrets and to humiliate Iron Man in the process. To draw the armored Avenger out, Spymaster kidnaps Tony’s long‑time friend and former boxer Happy Hogan. On the cover, a shirtless and enraged Happy is shown lashing out while Spymaster blasts another captive with searing energy, taunting Iron Man to face him or see Happy destroyed.

Inside, Tony struggles with the responsibility he feels for the danger his friends face because of his double identity. As Spymaster rigs deadly traps and uses industrial sabotage to cripple Stark assets, Iron Man must track him down across high‑tech facilities and urban battlegrounds. The story mixes intense action with corporate and espionage elements as Iron Man counters high‑tech gadgets, stealth attacks, and explosive devices. Happy, determined not to be a helpless victim, fights back against his captor even as he is used as leverage. The climax pits Iron Man against Spymaster in a battle of wits and weaponry, with the safety of Happy and Stark’s reputation hanging in the balance. The issue underscores Tony’s loyalty to his friends and the ongoing cost of his role as Iron Man.
