While Dr. Donald Blake is performing a life-saving procedure at Mount Sinai Hospital, a bizarre creature called Meru the Mind-Bender busts into the operating room! Fortunately though, the Daily Bugle sent a reporter and photographer (Peter Parker) to cover this critical operation! However, Meru makes short work of the web-slinger and seems poised to kill Dr. Blake’s patient until...the thunder god strikes! Thor fights off the Mind-Bender for the moment, but the dramatic second showdown with Meru takes place on top of the World Trade Center! How will the Son of Odin and Spidey fare in round two?
