Gen13

Alex takes Caitlin sailing off Catalina Island.  They discuss using their powers to save humanity from Damocles, but the tension between Caitlin’s idealism and Alex’s cynical ambivalence causes friction. Later, they go scuba diving alongside a pair of whales, but a shark attacks Caitlin.  She panics, and Alex uses his powers to kill it.  Once they surface, she protests, thinking he went too far. That night, she suggests coming to live with him, but he rejects the idea, hurting her feelings.  Back in La Jolla, Lynch has the rest of Gen 13 train in virtual reality against simulations of DV8.  Afterward, he designates Burnout as team leader in Caitlin’s absence.  This angers Rainmaker who accuses Lynch of picking Bobby because Bobby is his son.  They argue about it for the rest of the day until Caitlin returns.  After briefly fantasizing about kissing Lynch, she informs everyone she is staying with the team.
