50 years in the future (2032 in story), the Vision and the Scarlet Witch have moved back into Avengers Mansion for Wanda’s last days. She’s suffering from a terminal illness, but is happy to spend her remaining time among friends and cherished memories. The Vision tells her of his plans to deactivate himself upon her passing, but she refuses to let him take that path. When Wanda’s final hours approach, Jocasta distracts the Vision long enough to take her down to the lab and initiate a mind transfer to switch bodies. Jocasta had always envied Wanda and the Vision’s love as well as the human experience, and with her final sacrifice she allows that love to continue while briefly living in a human body of her own.
