Action Comics 627

Synopsis:
Synopsis for Green Lantern: ”And Now... Captain Atom”
Captain Atom follows the signal of a power source of unknown origin that landedn on California. When searching through the forest, he finds the alien visitor (who assimilated the form of the action movie character ”Randy Violent”) repairing his wooden vessel. The visitor, following the ”customs” he assimilated from the movie, ”greets” Captain Atom with an attack, and the hero retaliates. Green Lantern receives a telepathic signal from the visitor and comes to the forest, where he finds a beaten Captain Atom. Green Lantern recognizes the alien from his previous encounter and tries to speak with him. Captain Atom assumes Green Lantern is distracting the alien, so he follows the ”plan” and blasts the space craft. However, that was not part of the plan, and Green Lantern snaps at him, saying that the alien was preparing to leave the planet, but now he gave him a reason to stay.
