Title:
Bloodstrike
Synopsis:
With her wounded eye cybernetically replaced, Athena heads to New York with Bailout for a night on the town. Gunther walks in on Bloodstrike training with Tower and threatens to destroy the sole proof of his real identity for disobeying orders in Bolivia. Just then, Geist teleports in. Tower attacks, but Geist tears off one of his robotic arms and shoots him. Elsewhere, a man called Wargame remotely observes the battle. At a New York dance club, Athena gets an emergency page and returns to base with Bailout. Armored Purifiers swarm Geist, but he quickly defeats them. Bloodstrike punches him in the head repeatedly, injuring him, and he teleports away. The compartment Bloodstrike and Gunther are in is catastrophically damaged from the fight and threatening the ship so Gunther orders it jettisoned. It crashes to the ground and bursts into flame. Athena and Bailout fly down to the site just as Bloodstrike walks out of the fire with Gunther. He wants to go back for Tower, but Gunther insists they immediately find Geist. Geist materializes before Wargame who declares Bloodstrike winner of the fight and so worthy enough to face Prophet. Hours later, Athena visits Tower’s severed head in stasis waiting for his body to be rebuilt.
