Title:

All Star Superman (2005)

Synopsis:
Synopsis for ”Curse of the Replacement Supermen”

Superman returns to Earth from his trip in Bizarro world.[1] He’s startled to find Metropolis has transformed its structures to look like Krypton’s architecture.

Returning to the Daily Planet as Clark Kent, he learns that he has been gone for nearly two months and two new Kryptonians have arrived on Earth, Bar-El and Lilo. They are transforming the world to look more like Krypton and view earthlings as weaklings. Superman is disappointed they don’t share his ideals and that they couldn’t replace him as Earth’s protectors with that attitude. Superman finds out they have set up home in his Fortress of Solitude and have changed the interior, ridding the place of many of the memories he’s stored there. They are both offended he keeps the city of Kandor shrunken and that he is unable to restore them.

Bar-El turns on Superman as he views him as weak and not upholding Kryptonian values. They throw him into the moon breaking it in half. Bar-El and Lilo are not concerned and quickly patch the moon by stapling the crack together with bridges they grab from earth.

Lilo suddenly becomes very ill and looses her ability to fly. Shortly after Bar-El feels week too. Superman takes them back to be examined and analyzes they both have Kryptonite poisoning from flying through space. Superman agrees to saves their lives but can only do so by sending them to the phantom zone. Both Kryptonians are grateful and shocked that Superman would go through so much to save them even though they were so unforgiving to him.

Behold the Eisner Award-winning creative powerhouse in another fantastic exhibition of All Star bravura! Perils loom as Superman faces the strangest of adversaries.
