Synopsis:
Synopsis for ”Red Sun Day”
Lex Luthor is walked to the electric chair. As they turn on the electricity, Lex’s body goes limp and smoke is emitted from his body. Suddenly, Lex lifts his head and reveals he has the Super-Serum in his body.
Superman is cleaning up the cell that held the Sun-Eater he released.[1] Robot 7 helps tidy up his farewell tasks by offering to take care of the fortress and the zoo of exotic and extinct animals. Superman takes off his outfit to prepare for his farewell plan.
Lex enters his hideout with Nasthalthia. He gives her some Super-Serum and walk outside to reveal a red sun is causing the light on the surface to be red-tinted. The Tyrant Sun has arrived and threatens to destroy Superman.
Superman puts on a solar suit to prepare for battle with the Tyrant Sun and his Supermen agree to go with him to help with his assault. Superman summons the Sun-Eater to help but the Tyrant-Sun destroys it. While distracted, Superman attacks the center-eye of the Tyrant Sun.
In Metropolis, Nasthalthia attacks Earth with a cannon. The dying Tyrant Sun plunges into the city with Superman aboard.
Clark Kent busts into the Daily Planet and passes out at his computer with the article ”Superman Dead” on the screen. Lex Luthor breaks through a wall into the room and tells them that Clark is the least of their worries.
Superman…dead? What is the secret behind the Daily Planet’s ominous headline from the future? And what does Clark Kent have to say about it? All the pieces of Lex Luthor’s master plan to kill Superman begin to come together, building up to the big bang next issue!
