Title:
Batman: Secrets
Synopsis:
Fourth issue of the five-part miniseries ”Batman: Secrets” written and illustrated by Sam Kieth. The story centers on an intense battle of wits between Batman and the Joker, framed by a media scandal involving talk-show host Mooley Williams.
In this chapter, the Joker relentlessly taunts Batman about a mysterious ”secret” he claims the Dark Knight is hiding from Gotham. As Batman tries to extract information from the Joker and keep him from causing further chaos, the Clown Prince of Crime reveals one of his own disturbing secrets. Meanwhile, Mooley Williams is kidnapped as leverage, and producer Terry Ammons’ past indiscretions and manipulative use of sensationalist journalism are brought to light. Batman must navigate lies, blackmail, and public perception while racing to rescue Mooley and prevent the Joker from using the media circus to destroy Batman’s reputation and sanity.
