Title:
Batman Begins
Synopsis:
Comic adaptation of the 2005 feature film Batman Begins. The story follows Bruce Wayne from the childhood murder of his parents and his years of anger and aimlessness, through his journey abroad where he trains in martial arts, stealth, and fear manipulation under Henri Ducard and Ra’s al Ghul. Returning to Gotham City, Bruce refashions his family’s resources into the Batman persona, forging alliances with Alfred Pennyworth, Sergeant James Gordon, Rachel Dawes, and Lucius Fox. As Batman, he confronts mob boss Carmine Falcone and unravels a conspiracy involving Dr. Jonathan Crane, the Scarecrow, and a terrifying plan by the League of Shadows to destroy Gotham using a fear toxin. The comic condenses the film’s narrative into a sequential art format, showcasing Batman’s first appearances in costume, his early gadgets and Batmobile, and the climactic battle to save Gotham from destruction.
