Trivia
The Atomic Skull’s confrontation with the Flash from The Flash #293 is mentioned, but the issue number is not cited in an editorial note.
The Atomic Skull boasts that he is ”first” to break into the Fortress of Solitude. An editorial note is left to indicate that this is not true and cites the then-recent break-in of Brainiac, which occurred in Action Comics #514. Even prior to that issue, Brainiac violated the privacy of the Fortress in World’s Finest #164, Superman’s Pal, Jimmy Olsen #130, and Superman Family #183. Though not mentioned, several other unauthorized intruders have broken into the Fortress prior to the events of this issue, including Lex Luthor (in World’s Finest #100, Action Comics #407, and DC Special Series #26), Bizarro (in Superman #306), the Secret Society of Super-Villains (in DC Special Series #6), the Superman Revenge Squad (in Action Comics #381), Doctor Light (in Justice League of America #122), and Batman (in Action Comics #241, the Fortress of Solitude’s very first appearance).
