Title:

Superman: The Man Of Steel

Synopsis:
First Issue

”Man of Steel/ Man of Fire!”

There’s a new terrorist calling itself Cerberus in Metropolis blowing up different settlements throughout the city, like a department store and a warehouse, and Clark Kent is on the case. Strangely, he suffers some headaches and sees visions of ancient Krypton. Meanwhile, the Eradicator emerges from the son with a humanoid body, causing solar storms that affect Earth’s atmosphere. The storm causes twenty-nine airplanes flying over Metropolis to shut off, one of them transporting Ma and Pa Kent, and Superman helps all of them to land safely. When all planes are on the ground, Superman hears a strange noise, and the cargo wing of the airport explodes in a terrorist attack caused by one of Cerberus’ bombs. The explosion leaves a cryptic message that Superman investigates.

Clark takes his parents to his apartment and then goes to the Daily Planet, where Sam Foswell announces they are cutting the personnel, one of the fired employees being Jimmy Olsen. Clark suddenly hears Hamilton’s signal, and he flies off to his lab. He finds the professor doing experiments with Mister Z’s gemstone, which ends up destroyed, and Superman takes it to his Fortress in Antarctica.

Later in the night, Lois and Clark have dinner with Ma and Pa Kent, but the evening is interrupted by a bomb threat, and all customers evacuate in panic. The threat results to be a crank call, as Superman investigates the area and finds no trace of a bomb.

Clark keeps investigating Cerberus’ case at his apartment, still suffering from headaches and visions of ancient Krypton where he sees the Eradicator. Clark realizes Luthor has a connection to Cerberus’ targets, so he decides to investigate LexCorp. Under the storm, Superman hears the same noise from the airport and follows it to an industrial park, where he finds Cerberus’ bomb and throws it into the sky, leaving another cryptic message. Superman leaves the building and finds a cyborg in the parking lot and defeats him in combat. The employees demand the hero to kill the criminal, but Superman refuses. Suddenly, the Eradicator appears and blasts the criminal and tells Superman he plans to turn Earth’s sun into a red dwarf to recreate Krypton on Earth.
