In 1995, Bandai released a special large scale Gamera 1995 30th Anniversary figure to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the first Gamera film. Unlike the smaller Movie Monster Series figures, this was made at a big scale — often referred to as a big scale sofubi (soft vinyl) figure — and intended as the centerpiece of the 1995 Bandai toy line tied to Gamera: Guardian of the Universe. 
• It was released as a big figure (over 10″ tall) in the Bandai 1995 toy line. 
• It is usually labeled “1995 30th Anniversary 大怪獣ガメラ (Daikaijū Gamera)” in listings and sold as a big scale figure — much larger than typical mid-sized figures.
