Synopsis:

In Washington State in the mid-1990s, a well-meaning but catastrophically clumsy man named Mike Donnelly threatens to derail his brother Al’s campaign for governor through a series of embarrassing public incidents. Al, desperate to keep Mike out of the spotlight during the final stretch of the election, assigns a junior campaign worker named Steve Dodds to babysit Mike and keep him out of trouble. Despite their best efforts, Mike and Steve find themselves lurching from one disaster to the next across the state, while Al’s opponent and her operatives work to exploit every mishap. The film follows Mike’s chaotic good intentions repeatedly colliding with his complete inability to stay out of trouble.
