Synopsis:

In the summer of 2006 in the small beach town of Baybridge near Tampa, Florida, best friends Claire and Hailey discover a real mermaid named Aquamarine washed into the swimming pool of their local beach club after a violent storm. Facing Hailey’s impending move to Australia, the girls strike a deal with Aquamarine. If they help the mermaid win the heart of handsome lifeguard Raymond to prove to her father that true love exists among humans, Aquamarine will grant them one wish. As the trio navigates teenage romance, friendship, and family pressures, Claire and Hailey learn what it means to hold on and to let go before the summer ends.
