Synopsis:

In the remote mountains of rural Georgia in the early 1970s, four suburban Atlanta businessmen embark on a canoe trip down the wild Cahulawassee River before it is dammed and the surrounding valley flooded forever. Ed, Lewis, Bobby, and Drew set out seeking adventure and a final glimpse of untouched wilderness, but their journey turns nightmarish when two of the men encounter a pair of violent and predatory mountain locals. After a brutal attack leaves the group shaken and one assailant dead, the survivors must navigate both the treacherous river and the moral and legal consequences of what has happened, while wondering whether the remaining locals will come after them.
