Synopsis:
Texan Charles Farmer retired early from NASA to try and save the family ranch, when his dad died. Like most American ranchers, the bank owns almost everything he has; but, unlike most, he’s an astrophysicist with a rocket in his barn - one he has built and plans to take into space. It’s been his lifelong dream. The FBI puts him under surveillance when he tries to buy rocket fuel; the FAA stalls him when he files a flight plan - it’s post-9/11, after all. His wife finds out that their bank is initiating foreclosure and becomes very angry with him. Charlie, fearing failure, decides precipitously to launch. Are twenty-first century American dreams just a sign of insanity or should we try and hold on with all of our might to those dreams?
