Synopsis:

Billy Smith is caught trying to smuggle 2kg of hashish out of Turkey and into the US. He then experiences the harsh realty of Turkish prison life, and the inequities of their judicial system. Although there are departures from the book, Alan Parker makes a truly gritty film, based on Academy Award -winning Oliver Stone’s script, some images and emotions locked into viewers memory far after the end credits roll.
