Synopsis:

Darius Lovehall is a young black poet in Chicago who meets Nina Mosley, a talented photographer, at a bohemian jazz and poetry club. Their instant chemistry leads to an intense romance as they bond over art, literature, and music. Unsure whether they are experiencing a deep love or just a casual fling, they navigate a circle of friends who constantly debate love, sex, and commitment. When Nina, scarred by past relationships, decides to test the strength of Darius’s feelings, a chain of misunderstandings, jealousy, and emotional complications threatens to pull them apart. Set against the vibrant 1990s Black creative scene, the film follows their journey as they struggle to decide whether to risk their hearts and fully commit to each other or walk away from a rare connection.
