Originally scheduled for release in October 1987, the album was issued firstly in the United States on 24 August 1987, ahead of the United Kingdom and other markets.[2][3] The album peaked at #22 on the U.K. Albums Chart and at #34 on the U.S. Billboard 200. It has been certified Gold in the U.S. by the RIAA,[4], Gold in Canada[5] and Silver in the U.K. by the BPI.
