On the first of January 1996, we returned to our recording studio, Electric Palace, in London.
To our horror, much of the equipment had been destroyed by flooding. A water pipe had frozen and then burst, directly above the control room.
The one light in the tunnel was a box of old tapes that we had archived, which, without this sequence of events, would have remained concealed.
These tapes contain a history of recordings that have remained hidden, unplayed and unreleased by Asia, plotting a parallel course to the last three studio albums.
The special album shows of a behind-the-scenes look at the songwriting, influences and correlation of ideas that will now see the light of day.
I hope you enjoy these tracks as much as we have enjoyed putting this album together.
