Title:
1936 Ford Fire Engine
Year:
2012
Description:
10th in series
With a rugged commercial chassis, a powerful flathead, V8, and an affordable price tag, the 1936 Ford fire engine was the perfect choice for small depression era communities. This dependable truck proved to be a great investment for LeMoore, California, where it served faithfully for three decades. Purchased by the Woodside fire protection District and used for parades and public relations after it’s retirement, Woodside 36 was called back in the service once in the late 70s when the towns in-service engine wouldn’t start.
Sold to a private collector in 1989, it now has been restored and has often seen in special events throughout the San Francisco Bay area.
