Inspired by Disney’s Hercules (1997)
Hercules premiered on June 27th, 1997 and retold the ancient myth using contemporary storytelling techniques, including gospel music, with the Muses acting as the traditional Greek chorus. The film follows the titular god Hercules, who in order to return home to Mount Olympus, needs to prove he can move from ’’zero’’ to true hero. Along the way, Hercules must match wits with the hothead Hades who plans to rule over both God and Man.
