Also shown are the “EL” and the bridge crossing the Chicago River. Also pictured is the red warehouse and clock tower where the ship “Eastland” sunk in front of back at the turn of the century (1800’s to the 1900’s) causing hundreds of deaths of people who had been in the process of going to a company picnic on that fateful day.
