The Air Jordan 1 High OG ”Brotherhood” is a February 2022 version of the vintage basketball shoe honoring Michael Jordan’s Omega Psi Phi Brotherhood from his alma mater, the University of North Carolina. The ”Brotherhood” is another Air Jordan colorway that offers a glimpse into Jordan’s life, this time drawing inspiration from the fraternity he was a member of while playing college basketball with the Tar Heels. The look of the shoe is inspired specifically by the Omicron Alpha chapter, an African American fraternity founded in 1911 that features distinctive colors of purple and University Gold, both appearing on the shoe. In particular, the perforated toe, collar and heel are characterized by University Gold leather, while the toe, forefoot, eyelets and laces are immersed in light burgundy. The Swoosh and collar also appear in light burgundy, and on the collar there is a ”Wings” logo in black. Release date: February 26, 2022.
