"Across Town” was a trial service for the pre-paid delivery of parcels within the metropolitan areas of Sydney or Perth at a flat-rate of $3.25 (the cost of a label) for parcels weighing up to 25kg. The Sydney trial was terminated early in November 1991, but the labels weren’t withdrawn from the philatelic centre until 31 March 1992.
