Varvara Bubnova (1886-1983) was a Russian painter, graphic artist, and art teacher. She studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture, and later taught at the Moscow State Art Institute. Bubnova was a member of the Association of Artists of Revolutionary Russia and exhibited her works in various exhibitions throughout the Soviet Union. She is best known for her landscapes and still lifes, which often incorporated elements of the avant-garde movement. Bubnova’s works can be found in numerous collections, including the State Tretyakov Gallery and the State Russian Museum in St. Petersburg.
