Nikolai Voronov (1832-1888) was an educator, journalist, and traveler. He was one of the founders of the pedagogical courses in St. Petersburg and worked as a teacher of Russian language and literature. He was also a member of the Imperial Russian Geographical Society and conducted numerous expeditions throughout Russia and Central Asia, describing his travels in journals and books.
