As a nod to this, the First Edition of the car was decorated with ’Ralph’s Ride’ tampos.
Its name is a play on words with ”Variate”, ”Corvair” and ”V-8” because the Hot Wheels version is modified for racing and has 8 cylinders while the real-life version had a Flat-6.
