Canadian National had an extensive fleet of lightweight baggage cars that were used for both general and express freight services. With two large doors on both sides, loading and unloading was a relatively quick evolution. Considered head-end cars, they were generally positioned at the front of the train, just behind the locomotives. Many trains had more than one baggage car in combination with RPO’s and other specialised freight carriers
