Game Summary:
As the adventurers from Easthaven continue on their journey, they encounter a barbarian tribal shaman named Hjollder who beseeches them for aid. He explains that a long-dead tribal king known as Wylfdene has returned from the grave, and is currently planning to wage war on the Ten-Towns. Though Wylfdene claims to be guided by the spirit of Jerrod, a legendary hero of Icewind Dale, Hjollder senses that something is not right and asks for the heroes’ help in investigating the matter and negotiating for peace.
Hjollder transports the group from Kuldahar to Lonelywood where they seek an audience with Wylfdene, but their words fall upon deaf ears, and Hjollder finds himself banished to the Burial Isle. Upon traveling to the island themselves, the adventurers are able to find conclusive proof that Wylfdene is not what he claims to be. Hjollder urges them to take the evidence to the Gloomfrost, where an ancient Seer reveals to them that the spirit inhabiting Wylfdene’s body is not Jerrod, but rather Icasaracht, the great white wyrm who was vanquished long ago over Lac Dinneshere. The companions then race to confront the dragon at her citadel, where they succeed in slaying her and return to Kuldahar.
