Game Summary:
Bo Jackson Baseball is a baseball video game for the Nintendo Entertainment System, Commodore Amiga, and MS-DOS. It features athlete Bo Jackson, then a star in professional baseball and a former professional football player. In Europe, it was released by Mindscape as TV Sports: Baseball, part of the TV Sports series including TV Sports: Basketball and other games based on hockey and American football.

Description:

Bo Jackson Baseball is the most complete baseball game ever available for your NES. If you’ve played the others, you know that some have a little of this and some of that - but never everything a real baseball fanatic needs in one cool Game Pak... until now. Because Bo knows exactly what you’re looking for in a baseball game. One or two players - head-to-head in exhibition or in a championship league pennant chase. You’re on the mound - 15 pitches, pick-offs and bean-balls. You’re behind the plate - call for the pitch and gun down base runners. You’re in the batter’s box - bunt, choke up for contact or just swing for the fences. You’re in the field directing all 9 players - run, jump, dive and throw. You’re on the basepaths - with complete control of each individual runner to steal at will. Bo Jackson Baseball has the largest players ever seen in a game and the best digitized sounds you’ll ever hear!

Gameplay:

The player can select from five to nine innings. Players can choose to throw five different kinds of pitches either slowly, normal, or fast.

One or two players can select exhibition mode or playoff mode. CPU vs CPU or CPU vs CPU quick mode can speed a tournament, to see the stats of that particular match and quickly end tournaments. The game uses city names but not the team names because of lack of proper licensing with Major League Baseball. The players are purely fictional and cannot be edited. Some of the player names are parodies, such as Baltimore’s ”Kenrip” resembling ”Cal Ripken”.

A cheat code allows an all-Bo Jackson baseball team. The Amiga version includes a league mode and enhanced 16-bit graphics.
